Lavender has quickly become my new favorite springtime/summer herb. We bought a small plant a few weeks ago, and the added subtle bloom of purple in our herb garden is both peaceful and aesthetically pleasing. I decided to incorporate a few sprigs into my cooking last week when trying this recipe for lavender shortbread cookies. The result was a delicious batch of soft, buttery cookies with a slight hint of lavender. They’re perfect for a midmorning snack or as a complementary treat with prosecco on the patio.
